Welcome to
Grand Lodge of South India

The formation of GLSI was the result of thoughtful deliberation and a collective resolve among discerning Brethren of South India, who recognised the need for a Grand Lodge that would be administratively accessible, spiritually grounded, and unwavering in its commitment to Universal Brotherhood.

Accordingly, on the evening of 27th May 1995, at the Masonic Temple, Race Course Road, Coimbatore, the Grand Lodge of South India was duly constituted, consecrated and proclaimed by the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Upper India (GLUI). Acting under lawful authority, M.W. Bro. Dr. Narendra Vasishta, Grand Master of GLUI, formally declared GLSI to be a regular Grand Lodge, fully empowered to warrant and consecrate Lodges and to govern the Craft within its recognised jurisdiction, in conformity with Ancient Masonic Law and Practice.
